United Republic of Tanzania is an East Africa country whose capital is Dodoma. The area is 945,090 Km2 and the estimate population is 29,685.00.
There is no state religion and the government promotes religious tolerance. However, the main religion is Christianity and the second is Isalm but you can find other religions like indigenous beliefs.
The economy is based on primary agricultural processing like coffee, cotton, tobacco, tea…, metals, diamonds and petroleum refining.
The climate is warm and tropical on the coast with temperatures averring 27ºC.
The natural attractiveness are the volcanic Kilimanjaro (5,895m) the highest mountain in Africa, Zanzibar the largest canal island or the lakes Tanganyiko, Victoria and Malawi. Lakes Malawi and Tanganyika lie in the Great Rift Valley an enormous geological fault system extending from Middle East to Mozambique.
The fist official language is Swahili and the second is English because Tanzania depended from United Nations trusteeship under British administration. It became independent in 1964.
One of the main celebrations in Tanzania is Farmer’s Day that marks the formation of the main political party of Tanzania in 1954. This holiday is celebrated in a different region of the country every year in July and festivities include processions, rallies, fairs and dancing.
There are more political and religions celebrations for example Independence Day (9th of November) celebrate Tanganyika’s liberation from British rule in 9161. It is a national holiday with parades, school games, dancing and flights exhibition by de Air Force.
