DO YOU KNOW COOK ISLANDS?
Are you thinking about how to spend your free time? Are you bored because things are always the same? Would you like to live a new experience? You can continue reading. I have got something amazing for you.
Cook Islands are an archipelago (fifteen islands) in The Pacific Ocean. They are between Hawaii and New Zealand.
They are a representative parliamentary democracy. The chief of the state is the Queen Elizabeth II and the head of the goverment is the Prime Minister.
North Cook Island are seven islands with little population, however, the majority of them live in the South Cook Island .
Its capital city is Avarua and the currency used is the dollar of New Zealand.
English is official language but not the only one, Maori is spoken too.
The sixty five per cent of the population belong to the Cook Island Christian Church (CICC), the rest belong to other religions.
Apart from visiting the Island on foot or boat, you can celebrate with them the most important festival: Constitution Day in August.
In this day they celebrate their constitution which is in force since 1965, although it was changed in 1981.
The celebration begins on the Friday previous to August 4. The local inhabitants participate loved in the dance competitions and song, there are also sport competitions, exhibitions of craft, a parade and an agriculture fair.
You should not allow to pass (miss) the opportunity to be with them, to know them and to have a good time. Dare!
